GUM COPAL

Gum Copal is the result of processed sap (resin) obtained from the stems of resin (Agathis dammara [sin. A. alba] and several other Agathis) as well as the trunks of tree trunks belonging to the Burseraceae tribe (Bursera, Protium). Copal is the basic material for paper coating liquid so that the ink does not spread. This material is also used as a mixture of lacquer and varnish.
